Anlässlich der Mitgliederversammlung vom 11. März gilt es, sowohl einen Abschied als auch einen Neuanfang zu feiern. Wir bedanken uns für euer Vertrauen in den vergangenen zwei Jahren und freuen uns, die Leitung des Vereins in andere Hände zu geben.

Erfreulicherweise haben sich auf unseren Aufruf im November einige Alumnae gemeldet, die gewillt sind, «HSG-WBB Alumnae» in die Zukunft zu führen. Dem neuen Vorstand wünschen wir einen fulminanten Start und eine erfolgreiche Neuausrichtung.

«It gives you energy!»

So das Fazit einer Alumna nach unserem ersten Live-Event. Das trifft es genau auf den Punkt: Es war unglaublich beflügelnd, bekannte Gesichter nach langer Zeit wiederzusehen, neue kennenzulernen und sich als Teil einer echten Gemeinschaft zu fühlen.

Doch der Reihe nach: Unsere Präsidentin, Claudia Pfenniger, führte als Moderatorin durch den offiziellen Teil des Abends. Zu Beginn gab uns Esther-Mirjam de Boer in einer kurzweiligen und erkenntnisreichen Key Note Speech Einblicke zum Thema «Wie gewinnt Frau Verwaltungsrats-mandate?». Sie bezog auch die Alumnae mit ein, was ihre Tipps und Tricks noch praxistauglicher machte. Bei der anschliessenden Ernennung von Prof. Dr. Gudrun Sander zum Ehrenmitglied von HSG-WBB Alumnae wurde eine Verbundenheit spürbar, die auch auf den Fotos zum Ausdruck kommt. Den Schlusspunkt des offiziellen Teils bildete die anekdotenreiche Laudatio von Dr. Ines Hartmann.

Bis spätabends nutzte daraufhin die grosse Mehrheit der Alumnae die Gelegenheit, sich informell über Berufliches aber auch Privates auszutauschen. Dies zeigte einmal mehr das starke Bedürfnis nach persönlicher Begegnung bei einem Live-Event, gerade auch bei den Absolventinnen des WBB, die sich alle in einer ähnlichen Lebenssituation befinden.

At the general meeting on March 11, we will be celebrating both a farewell and a new beginning. We would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in us over the past two years and look forward to handing over the management of the association to other hands.

Fortunately, a number of alumnae who are willing to lead «HSG-WBB Alumnae» into the future have responded to our appeal in November. We wish the new board a brilliant start and a successful reorganisation.

«It gives you energy!»

This is how one alumna summed it up after our first live event. It was incredibly inspiring to see familiar faces again after a long time, to get to know new ones and to feel part of a real community.

But first things first: Our president, Claudia Pfenniger, led us through the evening. At the beginning, Esther-Mirjam de Boer gave us valuable insights with her key note speech on the topic «How to attain a position in boards of directors?», involving the alumnae. During the appointment of Prof. Dr. Gudrun Sander as an honorary member of HSG-WBB Alumnae, a bond became palpable, which is also expressed in the photos. The official part ended with the laudatio by Dr. Ines Hartmann.

Until late in the evening, the vast majority of alumnae took the opportunity to talk informally about professional and private matters. This once again showed the strong need for personal encounters at a live event, especially among the WBB alumnae, who all have a similar background.

Last but not least: Many thanks to our alumna Judith Mey, who organised the location, catering, decoration etc. for us. With the support of two other alumnae, Maria Martha Iacachury and Jeanine Unger-Mäder, she ensured an all-round feel-good atmosphere.

The feedback from many alumnae confirmed that the event was a full success and a great start for the HSG-WBB Alumnae Association. Long live the WBB spirit!
